Chester S. Banko, Sr., 66, of North Tonawanda passed away Wednesday (January 30, 2008) after a long illness at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.  Chester retired from Lane Fire & Safety Equipment Company.  He was a member and former Governor of the Tonawanda Moose Lodge #2163.  Chester was an avid hunter, softball player and Buffalo Bills fan.  Son of the late Chester J. Banko and brother of the late Robert (Patricia) and David Banko. 

Loving husband of Sharon R. (nee Warnes) Banko of North Tonawanda.  Son of Margaret Banko of North Tonawanda. Dear father of Chester S. (Lorrean) Banko, Jr., of North Tonawanda,  Donna Marchiano and Lisa Mersberg both of Buffalo, Kimberley Martin of Tonawanda and William Banko of North Tonawanda. Brother of Paul (Linda) Banko, Marjorie (Michael) Nowacki, Lillian (Peter) Casal and Daniel (Deborah) Banko.  Proud grandfather of nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  Also survived by several nieces and nephews. 

Friends received by the family on Friday 6-8 p.m. at the Brunner Funeral Home, 156 Robinson Street, North Tonawanda where services will be held on Friday evening at 8:00 p.m.,  Lynette Castiglia, Funeral Celebrant, officiating.  Flowers are gratefully declined.
