John Richard Brown, “Dick”  80, of North Tonawanda, on Monday, June 19, 2006 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital after a brief illness.  Dick was a member of Ascension R.C. Church.  He retired from Durez Plastics Company where he was a Lab Technician.  In his retirement years, Dick was an avid golfer.  Husband of the late Carolyn (nee Prokup) Brown.

Beloved father of Lynn (Dirk) Hoffman of Clarence.  Proud grandfather of Jacob, Luke and Rianne Hoffman all of Clarence.  Brother of Frances Illig of Pennsylvania.  Locally he is the Uncle of  Jean Harding, Pat Walter and Connie Paxhia and several other nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania. 

There is no prior visitation.  Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday June 26, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. at Ascension R.C. Church, 168 Robinson St., North Tonawanda.  Interment will follow at Elmlawn Cemetery.
