Robert T. Fritschi

Robert T. Fritschi, 82, of North Tonawanda passed away on Tuesday morning (June 12, 2007) at Niagara Hospice surrounded by his children..   Robert is the husband of the late Norma (nee Smith) Fritschi.  He was a member of Ascension R.C. Church and worked on bereavement committee there.  He is a WWII U.S. Navy Seabees Veteran.  He served in the Okinawa Theater as a pilot of a LCVP Landing Craft.  He is recognized on the National Seabees Monument in North Tonawanda.  Robert also was a member of Madonna Council #2535 Knights of Columbus where he sang tenor in the men’s choir.  He also was a member of Ascension R.C. Church’s Choir.  Robert received a Bachelors Degree from Canisius College and he worked for the Army Corps of Engineers and retired from Western Electric.  Husband of the late Norma R. (nee Smith) Fritschi.   

Loving father of Robert M. (Betty) Fritschi  of Pendleton, David T. (Paula) Fritschi of Middleville, NY, James E. (Constance) of North Tonawanda and Gregory P. (Kim) Fritschi of West Seneca.  Brother of Thomas (Marcia) Fritschi of Grand Island.  Proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.

Friends received by the family on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m at the Brunner Funeral Home, (692-3841), 156 Robinson Street, North Tonawanda, where services will be held on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Ascension R.C. Church.   Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.  The family asks that memorials be made to Niagara Hospice, Inc.
