Norman Hansen, age 92, of North Tonawanda died at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday (March 18, 2008) after a brief illness.  Norman was a lifelong member of St. Martin Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda.  He retired from Durez Plastics in 1980 after a 45 year career with the company.  He was a life member of Rescue Fire Company #5 and the Oxy-Durez Retirees.  Loving husband of the late Thelma (nee Dixon) Hansen who passed in 2000.  Brother of the late Henry,  Sidney and Margit Hansen and Evelyn Koscianski and Olga Ronan. 

Dear father of Norman T. Hansen of North Tonawanda.  Evelyn (the late Tony) VanUden of Ransomville, Sidney (Shirley) Hansen of Dubois, PA, Marie (Thomas) Braniecki of Bolton Landing, NY and William E. (Rose) Hansen of North Tonawanda.  Proud grandfather of 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.  Also survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends.   Life long friends of the Kuehn and Landen families.

Friends received by the family on Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Brunner Funeral Home (692-3841), 156 Robinson St. North Tonawanda.  The family invites friends to attend funeral services on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin Lutheran Church, 322 Old Falls Blvd. in North Tonawanda.  Interment will follow at White Chapel Cemetery.   Memorials may be made to St. Martin Lutheran Church.  www.brunnerfuneralhome.com.
