Richard M. Howell

Richard M. Howell, 79, of North Tonawanda on Wednesday (April 20, 2005) at his camp in Belfast, NY. Richard was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Tonawanda. He was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran and served in 82nd Airborne Division from 1943-1945 in Europe. Richard retired from Linde Division of Union Carbide Corporation after 33 years. He served the last twenty years in building 70 as a utility man. During his retirement, Richard enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an avid NASCAR Racing fan and also enjoyed hunting and spending time at his camp in Belfast, NY.

Beloved husband of Lois (nee Hanes) Howell of North Tonawanda. Loving father of Bonnie Howell of Middlesex, NY, Paul (Debra) Howell of North Tonawanda and Debra (James) Buddenhagen of Stanley, NY. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Mark) Mariglia, Timothy Dellario, Stephanie Howell and Jason and Jake Buddenhagen. Beloved “Boppa” to his great-grandson Tyler Mariglia. Dear brother of Gordon (Betty) Howell of Hunt, NY, Victor (Vivian) Howell of Friendship, and Mildred (Greg) Granger of North Carolina. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends received by the family on Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Brunner Funeral Home, (692-3841) 156 Robinson Street, North Tonawanda, where services will be held on Monday morning at 11:00.
