Kenneth P. Nelson, 83, of North Tonawanda on Friday, (July 20, 2007) surrounded by his family at home.  Kenneth was a member of Ascension R.C. Church and Madonna Council # 2535, Knights of Columbus.  He was a WWII U.S. Army Air Force Veteran who served in the European Theater.  He was also a member of Hriczko Post  #6245 in Buffalo.  Kenneth retired from the G.M. Foundry in Tonawanda.   He was an avid diver, golfer and square and round dancer.  In his spare time he would be drumming away to jazz music in his basement.  Kenneth is the brother of the late Edward and John Nelson and Geraldine Finch and Norma Brock. 

Loving husband Eva (nee  Baranik) of North Tonawanda.  Dear father of Patricia Rotko of Lockport and Kathleen (James) Calabrese of Tonawanda.  Proud grandfather of Kimberley (Jason) Reinhardt, Justin Brunner and James M. Calabrese and Alisa (Douglas) Herbst. Great grandfather of Jacob David Herbst.   Brother-in-law of Mary Nelson. 

Friends received by the family on Monday, 2-4 and  7-9 p.m. at the Brunner Funeral Home (692-3841) 156 Robinson Street, North Tonawanda, where services will be held at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Ascension R.C. Church.  Emtombment will follow at Ascension Mausoleum at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.  The family requests that memorials be made to Niagara Hospice, Inc.
