Angelo E. “Jack” DiFrancesco, age 82 of North Tonawanda at Elderwood at Wheatfield, on Monday October 6, 2014 after a long illness. Jack was a member of the former Ascension R.C. Church and presently, St. Jude the Apostle Parish. He was an Aerospace Engineer and Technical Director for the Agena Rocket Engine Program at Bell Aerospace-Textron in Niagara Falls. He retired from there in 1989. He was a founding member and past president of the Renaissance Club in North Tonawanda, a Third Degree Knight with Madonna Council Knights of Columbus and member of the Aero Club of Buffalo. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, enjoyed woodworking and fishing, yet, the greatest joy of his life was his family.
Son of the late Antonio and Lucia DiFrancesco. Brother of the late Daniel S. DiFrancesco and Mary (Victor) Dzikoski.
Beloved husband for 60 years of Marie (nee Sciandra) DiFrancesco of North Tonawanda. Dear father of Diane (Anita Young) DiFrancesco of Skokie, IL, Paula (John) Lind of Bedford, TX, Jeannie (Robert) Wiech of Niagara Falls, Ann (Don) Barber of Phoenix, AZ, Dan (Kathryn) DiFrancesco of North Tonawanda, Mary (Patrick) Grimaldi of Geneva, NY and Teresa (Tony) Martin of Columbia, IL. Proud grandfather of Bethany, Jessica, Geralyn, Matthew, Teresa, Don, Elizabeth, Eva, John, Mia, Sara, Tony, Jacob, Chris, Ryan, Billy, Nicole and Kristine. Great grandfather of 14. Brother of Philomena “Flory” (the late William) DeMonte and Elvira “Babe” (W. Robert) Beringer both of North Tonawanda.
Friends received by the family on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Brunner Funeral Home (692-3841), 156 Robinson Street, North Tonawanda where the family will share memories at 8:30 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday morning at 10:00 A.M. at St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 800 Niagara Falls Blvd., N. Tonawanda. Entombment will follow at Epiphany Chapel Mausoleum, Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The Family requests that memorials be made to Niagara Hospice, Inc.
