Gertrude Ruth Proefrock

Gertrude Ruth Proefrock, “Gert” age 92 of North Tonawanda, on March 7, 2015 died at the DeGraff Skilled Nursing Facility after a long illness. Gertrude was a member of Payne Avenue Christian Church. Gertrude was a longtime volunteer at the DeGraff Skilled Nursing Facility. She retired from the Wurlitzer Company in North Tonawanda where she worked as an inspector. Wife of the late Walter M. Hood and H. Warren Proefrock. Sister of the late Dorothy Driscoll, Virginia Wehrung and Charles Kent.
Beloved mother of Donna (John) Dotterweich of Fort Myers, FL. Proud grandmother of Mark Dotterweich, Jane (John) DiVirgilio, Gary (Tammy) Dotterweich, Nancy Schreckengost, Joseph (Karen) Dotterweich, Diane (Keith) Milbrand and Paul (Jennifer) Dotterweich. Also survived by 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
Friends received by the family on Monday 4-8 P.M. at the Brunner Funeral Home, 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda where services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30. Private interment will be at White Chapel Cemetery.
