Helen J. Swarts

Helen J. Swarts (nee Jerla) at age 91 at Schofield Residence after a brief illness on Tuesday (March 16, 2011). Helen worked at the Nash Road Tops Market for many years prior to her retirement. She was Past President and Treasurer of the Adams Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

Loving wife of the late Leon C. Swarts who predeceased her in 2000. Sister of the late Edmund, Casimer and Matthew Jerla and Genevieve Chastain, Vilentyna Ralston, Casinera Morotchick. Beloved Grandmother of the late Ryan D. Kennedy.

Loving mother of Marcia (Ken) Morton, Linda (Joe) Watson and Diane (Craig) Kennedy. Sister of Henry (Arlene) Jerla and Richard (Joan) Jerla. Sister-in-law of James Chastain. Proud grandmother of Jennifer (Nicholas) Keil, Jonathan (Amelia) Morton and Carly Kennedy. Great-grandmother of Aidan and Owen Keil. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Interment at White Chapel Memorial Park will be private. Memorials may be made to the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society, 4053 Maple Road, Suite 110, Amherst, NY 14226.
