Ida Rose Degilio

Ida Rose DeGilio, age 87, passed away surrounded by her family at Northgate Manor Nursing Facility on Saturday (January 22, 2011). Ida was a member of Ascension R.C. Church and St. Anne’s Society. She had been a resident of Northgate Manor since 2002. She was a life member and Past President of American Legion Post 264 Auxiliary. Her memberships include being a Life Member of Live Hose #4 Auxiliary, 40/8, Past President of Niagara County American Legion Unit, Past County Chairman (‘68-‘69) of the Unit. Ida and her husband were active in veterans affairs, serving on many committees that benefited veterans. Wife of the late Ralph J. DeGilio. Ida was predeceased by 10 brothers.

Beloved mother of Madeline (Eric) Minton. Loving grandmother of Scott (Tracy) Minton and great-grandmother of Sarah and Noah Minton. Sister-in-law of Anne and Patricia DeGilio and Laura Masucci.

Friends received by the family on Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Brunner Funeral Home (692-3841) 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM (Please Assemble at the Church). at St. Jude R.C. Parish, 800 Niagara Falls Blvd. Entombment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, will follow.

The family requests memorials be made to Northgate Manor.
