Verna C. Leader

Verna C. (Voght) Leader, wife to the later Thomas C. Leader Sr., Passed away Saturday April 4th, 2015 at 100 year of age. She was a devoted to caring for her husband and family. In her spare time Verna was very active in volunteer work for various place such as St .Albert’s the Great as a member of the Rosary Guild and DeGraff hospital. Verna loved politics and showed it by campaigning for the Republican Party in the 1960’s and sitting on the planning board for North Tonawanda. All in all Verna’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy and she will be greatly missed. Verna is survived by a son; Richard (Margaret) Leader, Daughter in-law Joanne Leader, a sister Muriel Zoerb; Six grandchildren Deborah Gmeinder, John (Christine) Leader, Michael (Victoria) Leader, Suzanne Komanski, Rob Leader, Kevin Leader. Also surviving are 14 great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Two sons; Thomas C. Leader Jr. and Robert H. Leader predecease her as well as 8 brothers and sisters. Friends and family will be received on Thursday from 4-8 PM. At the Brunner Funeral Home 156 Robinson St. North Tonawanda, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday at 9:30 AM in Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish, 57 Center Ave, North Tonawanda, NY. Burial to follow at White Chapel Memorial Park.
