Chester L. Pawelczyk

Chester L. Pawelczyk, age 101, on Friday December 19, 2014 at DeGraff Skilled Nursing Facility. Chester was a member of Ascension R.C. Church and presently, St. Jude the Apostle Parish. He retired from Orleans-Niagara BOCES where he taught Machine Shop Skills. He had previously worked for North Tonawanda High School and Worthington Pump and Machinery Corp. Chester was active in Boy Scouts and received the Silver Beaver Award for his services to the Scouts. He met his late wife Marion at Camp Scout Haven where they both worked during the summer. Husband of the late Marion (nee Koester) Pawelczyk. Brother of the late Alex (Ceil) Pawelczyk, Joseph (Rita) Pawelczyk and Genevieve Pawluc.

Father of Joyce (Steven) Koester of Austin, TX. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, a dear cousin, Ann Minko and brother-in-law, Casimer Pawluc. Dear friend of Joanne Nickles and her family.

Friends received by the family on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Brunner Funeral Home, (692-3841), 156 Robinson St. North Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday morning at 10:00 A.M. at St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 800 Niagara Falls Blvd. Please assemble at the church. A private burial will be at Rigeview Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
Chester asked that memorials be made to St. Jude the Apostle Parish Building Fund.
