James Kenneth Ames

James K. Ames, 74, of North Tonawanda on March 7, 2015 after a brief illness. Jim was a member of Beach Ridge Free Methodist Church. Jim was a member of Live Hose #4 Volunteer Fireman. He was a “Country Boy” who grew up on a farm in Pendleton. He loved the country life and motorcycles. He always wished it was 1955 forever. He was a gentle man, a hard worker his entire life. Jim was always seen around town on his bicycle. He was a frequent flyer at the McDonalds on Main Street in Tonawanda. He had an extended family of friends where ever he traveled. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran who served in-country. Husband of the late Cheryl (nee Cunningham) Ames.
Beloved father of Shawn K. Ames of North Tonawanda and Aaron E. (Rachael Coots) Ames of Tonawanda. Friends received on Wednesday 5-7 p.m. at the Brunner Funeral Home, 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda where services will be held at 7:00 p.m.
