Joan was the mother that anyone would want. To know Joan, was to know that family was her greatest priority. She was a devoted wife, who stayed at home and raised six children. Home was a loving place filled with friends and family. She cherished family dinners and an occasional Happy Hour. As a devout Catholic, she was heavily involved in church functions at Ascension Church and St. Jude the Apostle. She was a leader by example for her family by touching younger lives in the religious education program. Joan spent years leading the Ascension Folk Group and then participating with the Choir at St. Jude the Apostle. Joan was instrumental in setting up the Traveling Mary Statue that went into homes in the Catholic Community. She was also involved with the Knights of Columbus, Madonna Council 2535. The family requests that memorials be made to Niagara Hospice, Inc.
