John A. Dowd

John A. Dowd, 88, of North Tonawanda and formerly of Lockport, on Thursday September 10, 2015 after a brief illness. John was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran and served in the Philippines. He retired from Western Block in Lockport. John’s interests included archelogy and ancient history. He is the son of the late Nicholas and Ruth Dowd and brother of the late Nicholas and Jerry Dowd.
Husband for 62 years of Linda (nee Fischer) Dowd. Loving father of John M. (Carol) Dowd and James D. (Shari) Dowd. Proud grandfather of Brady and Kelly Dowd. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.
