Josephine D. West, (nee Alessi) 83, of North Tonawanda and Niagara Falls on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Sheridan Manor after a long illness. Wife of the late Joseph A. West and sister of the late Jean Stahlman and Gasper Alessi. Beloved mother of Sara (Dennis) Heim of North Tonawanda and William (Gillian) West of Wheatfield. Sister of Rose (Ronald) Cessna of New Jersey. Proud grandmother of Angela (Jason) Wojcik, Gretchen (Brenden) Peace and William and Brian West. Great-Grandmother of Emily and Hannah Peace. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Josephine had a sweet and gentle nature and was loved by everyone who knew her. She will be missed by her family and friends and neighbors. No Prior Visitation. Interment will be private at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
