Linda Grace Kurczynski, 83 (nee Martone) of Pendleton died on July 22, 2026, under the loving care of Niagara Hospice, after a long illness. Oldest child of Frank and Grace (nee Barone) Martone. Beloved wife of 63 years of the late Robert E. Kurczynski. Proud mother of Rita (Frank) Dispenza; Robin (Peter) Bayer; and Robert (Karen) Kuczynski. Elated “Grandmama” of Jordyn Leigh, Jacob Franklin and Taylor Elizabeth. Step-grandmother of April, Amy and Aaron. Step-great-grandmother of A.J. Loving sister of the late Josephine (the late Ronald) Pettigrew; Rita (the late Jackie) Shelley; and the late Ronald (Nancy) Martone. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
When her loving husband became permanently disabled at an early age, Linda worked two jobs to support her loving family. She worked as a hairdresser during the day and taught Cosmetology in the evening at Culvers Beauty School in Buffalo where she became known as “Miss Lee”.
Linda was a faithful servant of God and was a very active member of St. Albert the Great Roman Catholic Church where she was on the Bereavement Committee for many years. Linda loved to cook and bake. At Christmas time she would make hundreds of dozens of cookies and deliver them to the bereavement committee and neighbors. She spent hours crafting with her grandchildren making them t-shirts with cloth paint. Nothing gave her more joy than spending time with her grandchildren.
Friends received by the family on Wednesday 4-7 p.m. at the Brunner Funeral Home, 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda where services will be held 6:30 p.m. that evening. Linda will be laid to rest with her husband at the National Cemetery in Corfu, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
