Mary Lou Alabiso, “Louie” (nee Henderson), born in Buffalo, NY on December 26, 1944, tragically left this planet on July 22, 2010 surrounded by family after short battle with cancer. Mary Lou was devoted to her career, working with special needs children as a nurse in the last fifteen years at Niagara BOCES and Niagara Wheatfield and with the Tuscarora children. Mary Lou was passionate about travel and photography. She was kind and giving and never met an animal of any shape or size she did not love.

Beloved wife of 42 years, Michael Alabiso of North Tonawanda. Dear mother of Michele (Gary Van Wie) Alabiso of Meriden, CT, Audry (Bang Hoang) Alabiso of Sagamore Hills, OH and Aaron “AJ” Alabiso of North Tonawnada. Dear sister of Linda Sue Henderson, and William Lee Henderson both of Clarence. Sister-in Law of Anna Mae DiQuarto and Linda Sue Henderson. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and thousands of friends.

Friends received by the family at Brunner Funeral Home (716-692-3841) 156 Robinson Street, North Tonawanda, New York on Sunday July 25, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Services will be held on Monday morning at 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home. The family requests that memorials be made to your local animal shelter or food bank in her name.

Mary Lou lived with cancer without knowing it for several years. Her untimely passing should serve as a lesson that you should never take for granted the people you have, for one day they could be gone.
