Maurice R. Mongeon

Maurice R. Mongeon Sr., 82, of North Tonawanda passed away, with his family by his side on Thursday November 5, 2009, after a brief illness. Maurice had a keen sense of humor and enjoyed his family and friends. He served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II. He was a master carpenter and owner of Maurice Mongeon Builders in North Tonawanda. Maurice is survived by his loving wife Esther of fifty-three years. His children Jill (Joseph) Lane; Maurice (Mary) Mongeon, Jr; Lisa Wood (Late Glyn Wood)(Micheal Tocco); Laura Mongeon (Rob Filippone). Grandchildren Maurice III, Ciana, Alea, Emily, Linnea. His siblings Blanche’, Rudolph, Joseph, Reginald, Ronald and Shirley. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Donations may be made in Maurice’s memory to the Newman Center Building Fund, at UB Commons Suite 209, Amherst, NY 14228. Brunner Funeral Home North Tonawanda was in charge of the arrangements.
