Winifred Mae Schasel

Winifred Mae Schasel, (nee Eakins) age 94 of North Tonawanda at the Beechwood Health Care Facility on April 28, 2013 after a brief illness. Winifred was a lifetime member of the Payne Avenue Christian Church, Elder Emeritus, former Stewardship Chairperson and Adult Sunday School Teacher. Winifred retired from Buffalo State College in 1980, where she was a Professor of Home Economics and Financial Management. Wife of the late Robert C. Schasel. Loving Aunt of Barbara G. Schmitz and Carolyn Patterson. Dear friend of The Rev. Jerry L. and Janet G. McGlone and adopted grandmother of Jennifer G. and Ian K. McGlone. Also surviving are several cousins. Friends received on Wednesday 6-8 P.M. at the Brunner Funeral Home, (692-3841) 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda were services will be held on Thursday morning at 11:00 A.M. Interment at Acacia Park Cemetery will be private. Memorials may be made to Payne Avenue Christian Church.
